🌿 Planting a tree or shrub in a container? Pay close attention to what it’s telling you!

There is no single, prescriptive watering schedule for trees and shrubs growing in pots. Their needs will depend on the size of the container, size of the plant, sun exposure, weather, drainage, and even the type of plant.

Container plants often dry out much faster than those planted in the ground, so checking the soil regularly is much more reliable than simply watering on a set schedule. 💧

These eye-catching plants are covered in vibrant little peppers that ripen through shades of purple, cream, yellow, orange, and black, putting on a colorful show from late summer into fall.
