We are proud to see the positive environmental impact taking shape at our 15 Road Pit in Grand Junction. With both an active wash pond and a reclaimed pond on site, this area is not only supporting our operations but also creating an environment where wildlife can thrive.

A pair of bald eagles have made the area their home, reinforcing the value of the work being done to support biodiversity. As we look toward adding this site to the Wildlife Habitat Council program in the coming years, we are excited to continue building spaces that support both our business and the natural environment.

It’s National Work Zone Awareness Week, and there’s no better time to recognize the people who keep safety the top priority on our jobsites.

Dustin Campbell, RMC Site Representative with United Companies East, recently took immediate action during a malfunction incident in Pueblo, CO. When a pump operator was injured and trapped under flowing concrete, Dustin hit the emergency shutoff, pulled him to safety, called 911, and stayed by his side until help arrived.

Because of Dustin’s quick thinking and care, the operator was able to recover and return to work. We have some incredible people on our team, and Dustin is a great example of what it means to look out for each other and make sure everyone gets home safe.

Kicking off the season with United Companies East today and a strong reminder of what matters most: safety. SEE. STOP. DO. We take care of each other so everyone gets home safe at the end of the day.

We also took time to recognize the veterans on our team who have served our country and continue to make an impact in the work we do every day. We’re grateful to work alongside you.

Earlier this week, our United Companies West team was a Gold Level sponsor for the Colorado Mesa University Construction Management Program golf scramble at Adobe Creek National Golf Course.

Our United Companies West kickoff in Grand Junction marked our first full west team meeting in years. It was great to gather together and hear from safety, HR, our environmental team, and business leaders, who covered key updates and priorities for the year ahead. Hearing our guest speaker, Steve Howe, share his story really set the tone for prioritizing safety and brought everything into perspective.

Big thanks to our IT team for being on site to support a smooth system transition and for those who helped organize the meeting. Appreciation due as well to our entire team for the hard work and dedication put in over the past year. There is a lot to be proud of across the projects delivered and we are looking forward to a great year ahead.

We are proud to see the I-70B South of Rood Reconstruction project recognized as the “Best Portland Cement Concrete Urban Arterials & Collectors in Colorado in 2025” by the American Concrete Pavement Association.

This project is a strong example of the quality, coordination, and commitment our teams and partners bring to every job. Thank you to everyone involved for delivering an outstanding result.

Our recently conducted Aggregate Academy training brought together 40 team members from APC Construction , Four Corners Materials , and United Companies (East & West). Over two days, participants covered topics like safety, environmental training, quality control, plant maintenance, crushing & screening, plant optimization, and more.

A quote overheard from the training summed it up well: “We have chosen this for our career, we might as well become the best at it.”

Thank you to the team members who shared their expertise and helped lead the sessions.
