This coming Saturday is our plant swap & shop! 2-4 pm — registration is required so I know how many to plan for. The $5 fee will be returned to you as in store credit during the event.

🌈Rainbow Ferns are here!🌈

Selaginella uncinata — otherwise known as rainbow ferns, peacock moss, or blue spike moss — is neither a true fern nor a true moss. Spike moss is a low-growing, creeping plant that shines with its iridescent blue/green foliage.

Rainbow ferns can be grown outdoors all year round, but the foliage will die off in the colder months. I prefer to keep them in containers. Be sure to keep them in full shade with no direct sunlight outdoors. If you prefer to keep the foliage all year, be sure to bring it in before the first freeze.

Selaginella makes an excellent terrarium plant, as it prefers evenly moist soil & high humidity.

These babies are NICE & full! I have six available, although I may decide to keep one! 🥰
