This past summer we had a record number of calls for clogged hvac drain lines and a few unfortunately ended up with ceiling damage. After this summer I have come to realize that a single over flow safety mounted in the emergency pan is not enough protection even though that is all code requires. I am now recommending a main drain inline safety to be installed in conjunction with your emergency pan safety. This way if the inline safety activates water will never even have a chance to make it in your emergency pan. Your ac will shut off and the house will get warm warning you there is a problem. In the summer an ac unit will pull up to 5-10 gallons of water a day out of the air and the damage will be in the 1000’s if not noticed for a few days. These safeties are very cheap insurance

We are now in a new era of refrigerant. The industry has now transitioned to R454b. We have installed a few systems and feedback from customers has been very positive how the new equipment cools.

If your running a generator or Solar panels a soft start is a must have. I prefer this brand because it is the only one that I have found that will fit inside all AC units electrical panel. This soft start reduces starting amps by 70 percent. You can see its performance in the other pic I posted.

Most companies charge an extra $100-$300 dollars on top their service fee to do a leak check on your A/C system. At Ethan Clark leak checks are always included for free in our $79 service fee if your system is low on Freon. All of our trucks are equipped with the H-10pro leak detectors which are the gold standard for finding leaks. They can detect as leaks as little as 1/100 of a pound a year loss. We will find your leak and show you where it is.

Got an old leaky evaporator but don’t want to replace your furnace or condenser unit. No problem we can retrofit a new American Standard evaporator on any system you have wether it’s the old r22 or 410a.
