Most people assume a stone wall keeps water out. It doesn't — stone, mortar and concrete all absorb it.

A wall that works is built to let water back OUT: an air gap behind the stone, a drainage plane, and weep holes at the base so it can leave. Look at the bottom course of a properly built stone house and you'll see them — a gap every third or fourth stone.

Plenty of Hill Country homes from the eighties and nineties have none of it. We can help you fix that.
