With all the rain we’ve gotten lately my tomatoes have been growing like crazy. I like to train my tomatoes up a trellis and trim off the suckers so it stays a single stem. While pruning I came across this larger sucker and it’s… odd.

Does anyone know what’s happening here? Why does it start to grow apart then morph back together?

Chamomile tea anyone?

This chamomile plant that limped along all winter long has exploded with flowers in the last week. I just spent about 20 minutes picking all the flowers off so they can be dried for tea. It smelled so good but golly, I think I lost 5 pounds from how much I was sweating.

Does anyone else grow chamomile?

Went black raspberry picking at my sisters this morning. I like my gold raspberries better than red raspberries but wild black raspberries are among my top favorite fruits. Maybe it’s just because they are so seasonal and only available for a couple weeks each summer and only if I get out and pick them myself, but I sure do like them! Especially when they are mixed with vanilla ice cream. Yum! 😋

*UPDATE* - The Farmstand will be CLOSED today Friday June 12th. We will be open on Saturday June 13th with all previously planned menu items from both days.

I’ve been watching my weather app and I’m hopeful that all the rain will skip Friday and Saturday. If that changes I’ll be sure to make a post however as of now the Farmstand will be open this Friday and Saturday!
