Beautiful landscapes don't happen in a day, and neither does ecological restoration. Grateful to have been part of projects that focus on long-term stewardship.

IU Kokomo students, faculty, and staff will continue efforts to restore Kokomo Creek with grant funding from the Northern Indiana Public Service Company LLC (NIPSCO) and the NiSource Charitable Foundation.

One of the biggest reasons landscapes struggle, decline, or completely fail is not necessarily bad plants or bad design — it’s inconsistent or inadequate irrigation.

Proper watering is critical for:
• New landscape installations
• Trees and shrubs
• Vegetable gardens
• Pollinator plantings
• Raised beds
• And yes… even grass.

Healthy root systems depend on consistent moisture, especially during establishment periods and summer stress.

At Grow With Gordon, we pay close attention to how water moves through a property, how soil holds moisture, and how irrigation practices affect long-term plant health, appearance, and performance.

Sometimes the difference between a thriving landscape and a struggling one is simply proper watering strategy.
