I wasn’t prepared to get emotional at an art exhibit last night… ❤️🎨
Some of you may remember Audrey and Grace from when I offered their artwork in my retail store years ago. Back then, I knew they were talented. Last night, I got to see just how far they’ve come.
These two creative powerhouses hosted their very own exhibit, Flesh 4 Sale, , just a short walk from . Their work is bold, thought-provoking, beautifully executed, and honestly far beyond their years. The theme may be unconventional, but they absolutely pulled it off.
As proud as I was of the artwork itself, what really got me was watching them confidently greet guests, discuss their creative process, and share the meaning behind their work. They carried themselves like seasoned artists. Watching them interact with visitors and speak so passionately about their work made me tear up more than once.
They’re incredibly talented, but they’re also incredibly fortunate to have parents who have nurtured their creativity, encouraged their artistic gifts, and given them the confidence to dream big. And yes… their moms happen to be two of my besties, which makes watching this journey even more special. ❤️
Last night was a beautiful reminder of why supporting local artists matters. Creativity deserves to be celebrated, encouraged, and shared with the community.
If you’re in the area this weekend, stop by DAC and support these amazing young artists. Their exhibit and artwork will be on display and available for purchase through Monday.
Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. ✨
