A look at the finished sidewalk project after correcting the garden-bed drainage and installing a clean mix of boxwoods, hydrangeas, and a Japanese maple.

Good drainage is just as important as the hardscape and plants themselves. With the water properly managed, this bed now has the structure, color, and long-term foundation it needs.

A quick walkthrough of a backyard built for gathering.

This space features Unilock Beacon Hill pavers for a clean, timeless patio surface, paired with a Quarry Smooth seating wall that creates a comfortable sense of enclosure without closing off the yard. At the center, a 48" Marseilles natural gas fire bowl becomes the focal point—adding warmth, movement, and a great place to settle in at the end of the day.

Simple materials, thoughtful layout, and a finished space that feels like it was always meant to be here.

James for scale. 😎

This one took us longer than we wanted to finish, but that final result is pretty damn satisfying.

A massive stone countertop, custom timber structure, detailed masonry, and an outdoor bar that finally looks exactly like it was supposed to.

Sometimes the schedule gets messy. The details still have to be right.

Proud of James and the crew for getting this one across the finish line. 👊

This is the part most people never see...

Before the stone and resin are mixed and poured, the entire area has to be shaped, compacted, reinforced, and checked. The ResiMesh is in, the base is ready, and everything is set for the final surface.

The pour gets the attention and the prep earns it!

Unilock or not, a patio is only as good as what’s underneath it.

An open-graded base gives water somewhere to go and helps the patio hold up the way it should.

Here’s the truth about pavers: The part you see is usually not the part that fails.

Most problems start underneath — bad base, poor compaction, drainage issues, or somebody rushing the prep.

The pavers are the easy part. What’s underneath them is what makes the project last.

This backyard is now clean, durable, and ready to be used. 🌿

For this project, we installed a pet-friendly artificial turf system along with an Ace Resin walkway to create a low-maintenance outdoor space that looks sharp and functions year-round.

The turf gives the yard a soft, clean surface without mud, patchy grass, or constant upkeep. The resin walkway adds a smooth, attractive, slip-resistant path along the deck and ties the whole space together.

A great option for small city yards, shaded spaces, pets, and homeowners who want their backyard to feel finished without the weekly maintenance.

Stop Using the Wrong Stone Under Your Pavers

This Mequon project is starting to take shape in a big way.

In this walkthrough, we’re showing the bones of the build — a winding Lannon stone wall, proper geogrid reinforcement, and the early stages of a custom outdoor kitchenette. These are the details that don’t always make the final photo, but they’re what determine whether the project still looks great years from now.

Walls need structure. Outdoor kitchens need planning. And a backyard like this needs to be built in the right order, from the base up.

This one is going to be special.
