For today's we go to Manchester for a kitchen we did in 2020. The kitchen and master bath were part of a whole house renovation to modernize a large Victorian home in Manchester. The formerly cramped kitchen was relocated to a larger sitting room adjoining the dining room. White Fieldstone full-overlay cabinets were chosen for lightness, with a modified Shaker door for a slightly more contemporary take on the traditional style. Leathered Silver Pearl granite perimeter counters offer contrast and a connection to the honed slate floors. A wall oven and pantry cabinets occupy the space between the windows, and a new range is the focus of the island.

Confident in their do-it-yourself skills, these homeowners came to us with the goal of a complete kitchen revamp. Our designer worked with them to nail down a great design for their eat-in kitchen space, and provided a great deal of technical expertise regarding the installation of the Ultracraft full-access cabinetry with two-piece crown and undercabinet moldings and decorative end panels.

We at Milford Lumber, Muir Showrooms of Bedford, and PJ Currier Lumber remember with gratitude those who sacrificed their lives in the service of the United States of America and wish a blessed Memorial Day to all Gold Star Families. In their honor, we will be closed today, Monday, May 25th.

These Bedford homeowners came to us looking for a complete overhaul of their frustrating little kitchen. It was far too small for a large house, lacking in storage and counter space, with room for only one cook to work at a time which was not conducive to family time. Our designer gutted the room and the only things to stay in the same place were the refrigerator and the sink. The peninsula was removed and the cabinet run extended for the full length of the back wall to the corner windows (the homeowners did not want to do any structural or exterior work so altering those windows was not an option), with the extra-long, dual-sided island added to create a galley-style work area. The range was swapped out for a generously sized gas cooktop in the middle of the rear wall topped with a powerful hood and a pair of wall ovens in the refrigerator wall. The widely-despised over-the-range microwave became a drawer microwave under the island counter. The new, larger kitchen became a place where the whole family can gather and cook together and make great memories.

For today's we go to Nashua. These homeowners brought us a yellow time capsule from the Fifties that could barely accommodate one cook, it was so cramped. A long peninsula cut the room - not overly large to begin with - in half, obstructing the traffic path through the room, and the sink was awkwardly crammed in off-center under the window. Overhanging soffits reduced the upper cabinets' storage space. Our designer eliminated a bump-out into the room and relocated the new induction range to an exterior wall for ease in ventilation, adding a range hood that blended with the new Ultracraft Simply White cabinetry. This steered our designer to a U-shaped kitchen perimeter with an island, with the refrigerator moved across the room nearly to the opposite corner. Since it was essentially impossible to center the sink on the window and still have an L-shaped layout on that side of the kitchen, and moving the window was not in the budget, she instead placed it in an angled corner cabinet so the user can still see out the window but has more elbow room. Everyone is especially grateful that she found a place for a dishwasher. Picturesque Lennon granite lends drama to the simple white cabinetry. The homeowners decided to pass on pendants or other decorative lighting fixtures over the island and sink to keep the sightlines clear because it is not a large room, choosing instead to stick solely with recessed cans in the ceiling and undercabinet lighting.
