Our latest news
New plants have arrived! We recently received a new shipment of plants! Many of the plants available now are suitable for sunny rock gardens, with a handful of shade plants in the mix as well. We have a bunch of hardy succulents, including some Delosperma hardy to zones 4 or 5; a small mockorange with big fragrance; a couple non-climbing Clematis have been restocked; Heuchera 'Canyon Duet' has been restocked; and others. Some of our Hostas potted for 2027 have grown very well and are available now as well! You can find the entire list here (https://www.iloveshadeplants.com/2026/08/new-plants.html) , or browse through our catalog and see what you still need!
Speaking of things you still need, the summer sale is still going on for a couple of weeks! The Baptisia have been lowered to 50% off, making them just $10 each! Most of these are nice multistemmed plants from last year's crop. 'Aurora' are the exception, with just 1 or 2 stems each, so those are 60% off!
And for those within driving distance, we have a great selection of perennial Hibiscus in bloom right now for $30 each! Just send an email or message via Facebook to make an appointment.
Fall Host Forum!
Nick's last speaking engagement and our last planned off-site sales event for the year is coming up. We'll be traveling to Edinboro, PA for the Fall Hosta Forum, hosted by the Daffodil and Hosta Society of Western PA and Western New York Hosta Society. Nick will be giving his Building Gardens, not Collections talk and we'll have a great assortment of plants available for sale. We have limited table space, so preorders are welcome and recommended! Registration is just $75 and is due by September 10. Details can be found here (https://www.wnyhosta.com/2023-fall-hosta-forum) . We're looking forward to meeting more of our customers for the first time!
Summer is winding down, but there's still plenty of time to plant, and the temperatures and rainfall will hopefully get more conducive to that! Thanks for your support this season! Our business continues to grow and we continue to make improvements. We appreciate all of our customers.
Until next time,
Nick Ternes and Diane Ten Pas.
