Our Sarracenia x areolata are looking great this time of year! These have nice dark red interiors with light lid exteriors. Sarracenia × areolata is a naturally-occurring hybrid of S. alata and S. leucophylla.

This neat little plant is Sarracenia 'Godzuki' x (S. leucophylla red x S. minor giant) and one of our first seed-grown hybrids from 2010. We ended up with two main forms of this hybrid: one with red pitchers and minor-like spotting and one that's mostly green with red veining.

S. 'Godzuki' is a S. oreophila × S. minor hybrid bred by Leo Song at Cal State Fullerton, named for its lizard-like look and formally registered in 2011.

Super dewy Sarracenia 'Reptilian Rose' x (S. flava x S. alata)! We started these from seed in 2013. The red ones turned out very similar to the Reptilian Rose parent, with huge wavy lids. Sarracenia 'Reptilian Rose' is a hybrid produced by Phil Faulisi and is a cross between S. oreophila 'Sand Mountain' and S. 'Royal Ruby'.
