Can we hit pause on fall for just a little longer? 🍂

We’re soaking up the last of these beautiful fall colors around the office because somehow, we’re already gearing up for Christmas decor! 🎄

We’re not quite ready for the shorter days, the colder weather, or the fact that 2026 is already coming to a close. Seriously, where did this year go?!

But if there’s one thing we know how to do around here, it’s make the most of every season. And let’s just say, we’ve got some fun things up our sleeves for the holidays. 👀

Stick around… things are about to get festive! ✨

Before that fresh wreath ever reaches your front door, it may have traveled from a remote forest, survived a helicopter ride, and spent some time chilling out. Literally. Of course, we plant all throughout the year. Everyone wants their landscaping finished in time to enjoy it all summer long! ☀️

But if your landscaper is encouraging you to wait until fall, don’t be disappointed! Cooler temperatures and warm soil make for some pretty happy plants, giving them a chance to settle in before next summer’s heat.

Plus, who says you have to wait until summer to enjoy your new landscape? Think crisp fall evenings, November bonfires, and a beautiful space that’s already ready to enjoy when spring rolls around. 🔥🌿

Moral of the story? Don’t sleep on fall planting!

Give this a like if you want to learn why we will ALWAYS push tree rings over sod, coming next!

New build, blank slate! 🌿

When building a new home, it’s easy to focus on the house and leave the landscaping for later. But even the smallest spaces have so much potential!

Instead of simply throwing down grass seed, these homeowners chose to turn the space between their homes into a beautiful garden filled with colorful blooms, lush greenery, and a natural stone walkway.

Before any planting could begin, our team had to tackle what was left behind from construction. Removing rocks and debris and properly preparing the soil gave these plants a much better foundation to grow and thrive.

From bare dirt to a beautiful garden escape. What a difference! 🌸

Being a little obsessed with trees? Kinda chic. 🌳✨

Our crews have been BUSY this week unloading and planting over 60 trees at one of our clients’ properties!

It’s a lot of digging, hauling, and hard work, but knowing these trees will continue growing and shaping this landscape for generations to come? Pretty cool, if you ask us.

And if you’re wondering why we’re planting so many trees in the fall, there’s a good reason! 🍂

Head to the link in our bio to read our blog on why fall is one of the best times to plant trees in Ohio.

Want to join our team and help make the earth a little greener everyday? We’re hiring! Call or email us to find out more :)

We couldn’t help but share a few photos from our owners’ recent trip to Yosemite National Park! 🌲🏞️

Can you believe places like this exist?!

If you know Joel and Molly, you know their love for nature goes well beyond the landscapes we create here in Ohio. And looking at these photos, it’s pretty easy to see why we’re so passionate about protecting our planet.

🌲 Speaking of incredible trees... we’re diving into the world of giant sequoias in next month’s newsletter! Want to learn more about these giants? Sign up through the link in our bio.

Have you ever visited Yosemite? We’d love to hear about it! 👇

The Olympics… but make it landscaping! 🏅🌱

We’re talking about the Ohio High School Landscape Olympics (OHLO)!

Every year, high school students from across Ohio come together to compete in hands-on challenges that showcase the many skills and careers within the green industry.

M.J. is proud to sponsor and judge the Landscape Design Competition, and we always enjoy seeing what these students come up with!
We are also the sustainability sponsor! ♻️ We provide recycling, compost, and trash stations while teaching students how to properly sort their waste.

We’re thankful for an industry that invests in its future by giving young people opportunities to learn, compete, and discover a passion for landscaping. And a special shout out to OGIA for putting the event together every year.

🏫 Ohio high schools, we want to see YOU there next year!Tag a school or educator who should get involved!
