By stripping the building back to introduce daylight and spatial fluidity, we unlocked a responsive environment designed to elevate how Kinsale operates today and scales for the future.

Energy flows effortlessly through the TB Smith Community Center, from the activity that fills it to the efficiency that powers it. In the vaulted gymnasium, translucent fiberglass floods the room with filtered daylight, softening glare and boosting energy efficiency. Below, basketball courts spark movement, while above, an open-sided walking track promotes visibility across the entire space.

Working alongside the Virginia Military Institute, Baskervill is helping reimagine the visitor experience at New Market Battlefield State Historical Park and the Virginia Museum of the Civil War.

Baskervill was thrilled to celebrate the ribbon cutting of William & Mary’s Integrated Science Center 4—a major milestone for the college’s growing investment in STEM, computing, and applied research. Designed in collaboration with Goody Clancy and built by Skanska, ISC4 endeavors to make learning more visible and collaborative.

Baskervill is thrilled that NOVA of Virginia Aquatics has earned a 2026 CoStar Impact Award! Recognized as ‘Redevelopment of the Year’, the newly completed expansion deepens the former department store’s second life—adding more amenities and the capacity to host larger competitions. The resulting complex draws athletes and families from across the region while strengthening the opportunity for community connection.

In 1619, the first ship forcibly carrying enslaved people to the American colonies arrived on the shores of Point Comfort, Virginia. Last week, more than 400 years later, Baskervill was proud to stand alongside Fort Monroe at Old Point Comfort, our collaborative project partners, and the community to dedicate the first stage of the First African Landing Memorial, commemorating the site as a place of reflection and remembrance.
