Our neighbor moved out and I was able to see what they were seeing for the first time! DM me if you’re interested in a condo or the whole duplex in our neighborhood!

I love how we get to live in the trees, and have tried my best to protect, prune and plant even over at this neighbor duplex. It seems it’s paid off in privacy, siting and our views out the windows. I’ve planted 34 more so far this year and counting. (Check your local ads or marketplace to get trees for free or cheap!) We live in a “tree town USA” so I’m taking it seriously and have the benefit of living with a well and on the Millcreek, so we’re trying to hold some of that water in our neighborhood air and create a little microclimate.

The stair is the pivot point of the house and where the formal form starts to bend to reach to the views of the backyard. Having to pick only a few areas to focus on with budgeting, we used common products in a new way to create something special. My favorite moment was when the drywall contractor brought his family to have a look at his work here.
