This double-height lobby with expansive glazing, sculptural wall installation, and contrasting material palette gives a sophisticated blend of contemporary design, architectural scale, and corporate identity while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The thoughtfully integrated reception desk, layered lighting, and comfortable lounge seating also balances functionality with visual impact.

A beautiful example of how thoughtful interior design can elevate the visitor experience while reflecting a brand’s identity!

Our second 2026 Creative Solutions in Education Grant recipient is Elizabeth White of the Meade School District 46-1! 🎉🎒📘

Elizabeth's grant focuses on providing ChompSaws, a safe power tool, for her three-dimensional design, crafts, and sculpture class at Sturgis Brown HS 46-1. Students use cardboard to create sculptures, masks, templates, installation art, and experimental design. The ChompSaw will make these projects easier, allowing students to bring their creative ideas to life with greater freedom and precision.

As an architecture firm, we understand the value of physical models in bringing designs and creative visions to life. Model-making also plays an important role in architectural education, encouraging creativity, design, and problem-solving skills. By providing students with a safe way to cute and shape cardboard, we hope to inspire them to explore architecture, discover their interests, and turn their ideas into reality.

We were proud to join the Western Dakota Tech community at this year's WDTC Gala! ✨

Mike and Adria Williams, along with Jeremy and Hiromi Altman, represented Architecture Incorporated for an enjoyable evening featuring dinner, silent and live auctions, and a chance to connect with clients, consultants, colleagues, and friends.

It was especially rewarding to see our WDTC Trades Facility and Campus Master Plan boards on display and to share in an evening supporting WDTC and the important role it plays in our region.

Thank you to WDTC for a great evening and for bringing together so many people invested in the college and its future! 👏🏼

The Meade School District 46-1 occupied their new middle school in Summerset, SD, in the fall of 2018. Stagebarn MS was designed to help with continued student growth in the district, providing a 110,000 square-foot-facility that accommodates 600 students in grades 5-8. The 34-acre site is master planned to allow for a future high school that will accommodate 600 students. The site includes practice fields and a track. 🏫📝

Congratulations to our first 2026 Creative Solutions in Education Grant recipient, Christine Steinmeyer of the Meade School District 46-1! 🎊📚🏫

Christine's grant will transform fifth-grade social students at Stagebarn MS 46-1 into four immersive, hands-on historical investigations using educational kits from the South Dakota State Historical Society.

Through these experiences, students will step into the role of historians by exploring investigation trunks, examining artifacts and primary sources, listening to oral histories, interpreting maps and photographs, and solving real-world historical questions. Each investigation encourages students to think critically, analyze evidence, collaborate with peers, and draw their own conclusions.

Students will explore four topics:
🟥 Oceti Sakowin oral tradition and storytelling
🟥 The Black Hills Gold Rush and its lasting consequences
🟥 Immigration and homesteading through a mystery immigrant trunk
🟥 The develop of South Dakota communities, including the influence of geography, railroads, ranching, and natural resources

Congratulations to Christine! We're excited to see students bring South Dakota's rich history to life through these engaging, hands-on learning experiences. We can't wait to see the impact this grant will have in the classroom!

Construction started on Ava’s House, a Sanford Health hospice facility, on the north side of the USD Sanford School of Medicine campus. 🏥

Ava’s House is a 20-bed hospice facility serving all ages with 24-hour nursing care in a home-like environment. It is one of just four in the country to include in-patient pediatric hospice services, including a specialized Children’s Play Area for patients and family members. The suites are designed to allow for direct patient access to shared courtyard spaces. A common gathering space with kitchen, dining, and living areas is also available for families as well as a Reflection Room for private contemplation.
