The brain is designed to "predict and protect" - it's fundamental to our survival. The problem is it does so from past experience, and who HASN'T had a challenging past?

So the brain tends to pull from our hurts and failures and superimpose them into an as yet experienced future as something to avoid, leaving most people then in a state of fear and worry.

Not realizing it's your OWN brain making up those worst case scenarios!! Doh!!

So ... remember, your history is done and your future is unknown. There is nothing to fear other than your own projections!

Sat, July 16, 9am-12pm High Hickory
Join us for trail stair construction and general trail maintenance and marking.

Tue, July 19, 9am-12pm Pleasant Valley
Final removal of the old maple syrup lines and tubing which have been girdling the maple trees.

Sat, July 23, 9am-12pm Three Falls Woods
All hands on deck for the bridge installation! A new foot bridge will span the upper portion of the falls connecting the trails on either side but we need your help to move it into place. We will also be marking and widening portions of the trail and adding some new signage to the preserve in key locations.

Thu, July 28, 6-7pm Friends of Three Falls Woods (First Meeting & Information Session)
We are creating a dedicated volunteer group to look after the preserve as it is quickly becoming one of our most popular and visited sites. We need you help to improve trials, informational signage, and ensure that we continue to look after the unique ecology of the site. This will be brief information session, with an option to join us in person or via zoom, to introduce you to the site, our management goals, and future projects.
