Today we celebrated a major milestone with the groundbreaking for the new Upper Little Caillou Elementary School in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. 🎉🏗️

As the Architect for this project, we’re proud to partner with Terrebonne Parish School Board and the community to bring a modern, resilient learning environment to life—one that supports students, teachers, and families for generations to come.

This moment also reflects something bigger: the region’s continued rebuilding and strengthening after Hurricane Ida. We’re honored to support that progress through our ongoing relationship with Terrebonne Parish schools, helping deliver facilities that are safer, stronger, and built for the future.

We’re proud to celebrate the ribbon-cutting and re-opening of the South Lafourche Public Library in Cut Off. We’re proud to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Bayou Boeuf Elementary School — a project we designed in partnership with the Lafourche Parish School Board, marking a major milestone in the community’s recovery from Hurricane Ida.

After a long journey following the storm’s devastation, this much-anticipated campus will soon provide a vibrant, modern learning environment for students and educators for generations to come.

This week, our team joined Nicholls faculty, staff, and community leaders to celebrate the beam signing ceremony — a major milestone in a project that will soon provide cutting-edge learning spaces for future nurses.

We’re proud to celebrate the grand opening of the Cajun Bayou Visitors Center — a gateway to the vibrant culture, rich history, and natural beauty of Lafourche Parish. GFP Architecture is honored to have played a role in designing a facility that will serve as the front porch to the Bayou Region, welcoming travelers with hospitality and authenticity. This new center not only provides critical resources for visitors but also enhances the region’s tourism economy, fosters community engagement, and strengthens its cultural identity.

The architecture of the Visitors Center draws inspiration directly from the surrounding region — blending traditional forms with contemporary materials and interpretive displays that honor the people, stories, and landscape of our region.
