Multimeter Basics: Testing Motor Windings 🧰
Knowing how to properly test motor windings can save time and headaches. Here's a quick guide for 2-wire vs. 3-wire motors:

🔹 2-Wire Motors
Connect your multimeter leads black to black (lead A to lead B).
✅ You should get a resistance reading — not open, not zero. That tells you the windings are intact.

🔹 3-Wire Motors
You’ll need to measure between all three combinations:
🔴 Red to Black ⚫
🔴 Red to Yellow 🟡
🟡 Yellow to Black ⚫

You're checking for consistent resistance values across all pairs. Big differences? Could mean a winding issue.

A quality water well company does more than just sell new wells — they diagnose problems correctly, stand behind their work, and have the experience and equipment to handle the job from start to finish.

At Sebastian and Sons, we believe homeowners deserve honest answers, not unnecessary replacements. A reputable well company will take the time to inspect your system, explain the issue, and discuss repair options before recommending a completely new well. In many cases, problems can be repaired or improved without the cost of starting over.

Companies that own and operate their own drilling equipment have direct control over quality, workmanship, and accountability. When multiple subcontractors are involved, communication and responsibility can sometimes get passed around instead of handled directly.

Choosing a well contractor should come down to experience, transparency, and trust — not pressure sales. Ask questions:
• Do they service what they install?
• Will they explain repair options first?
• Do they stand behind their work?

A dependable water system is one of the most important parts of your home. Make sure the company you choose treats it that way.
