A mudroom in WNC is not a nice-to-have. It's load-bearing for your sanity from November to March.

Mud, snow melt, dog paws, hiking gear, firewood. It all comes through one door, and if that room isn't designed for it, it ends up on your kitchen floor instead.

We size these rooms like we mean it.

Nobody tells you this part upfront: on a steep slope lot, the grading and foundation work can cost more than the house itself before you've picked a single finish.

Retaining walls, engineered fill, structural footings that step down the hill. It adds up fast, and it's not optional.

We'd rather tell you this in month one than have you find out in month six.

Its coming along nicely and naturally drawing everyone's attention as they drive by.

A unique dome-like building taking shape in Fairview has caught the attention of drivers and neighbors, and several viewers wanted to know what's going up.

There's a difference between a mountain home and a house that happens to have mountain views.

One is dropped on the lot with the good rooms facing outward. The other responds to the grade, the tree canopy, the way water moves across the site, and the direction the wind comes from in February.

You can usually tell within five minutes of walking the finished space which one you're standing in.
