We had the pleasure of designing the plant environment for Uniqlo’s newest store on the Magnificent Mile.

We approach plants as essential to everyday life, treating this as both design and composition, and planning each placement to bring rhythm and balance into the space.

In collaboration with the Uniqlo team, we carried their love of glazed terracotta throughout, grounding each moment with warmth and intention.

Behind the scenes at our studio visit with Sydnie as we prepare for this weekend’s release. We spent time in her space shaping the vision for this event, implementing florals and plants into her iconic cups. Each planter is uniquely designed, truly one of one.

Syd x Semillas 🌸🩵

We’re excited to welcome ceramic artist Sydnie Jimenez back into our space for a special experience featuring her iconic planters alongside a curated plant and floral selection from the Semillas Studio.

In 2020, we had the honor of carrying Sydnie’s planters at our first location on 18th Street (if you know, you know). Sydnie has exhibited work around the world honoring Black and Brown bodies in ways often missing from traditional art history, and it feels incredibly special to bring our worlds together again.

During the experience, you’ll be able to purchase a planter and repot a plant from Semillas on site. We’ll also host a floral studio with stems inspired by the colors of the planters, along with “The Sydnie” arrangement, now available for pre-order.

Come experience the work, the plants, & the moment with us.
