Ashton taught me this after watching her craft this ballin quilted runner with no hesitation or any of the other road blicks ive seen affect so many, me included from time to time. So i thought id share it to see if it helps anyone else.
Remember, by definition, the first time you do something will be the worst time you ever do that thing. Just participating gives you experience and a feel for the task that conceptualizing never can. So if you dont like how what you built or made looks like the first time, good, that must mean you developed enough of an eye for that skill in just one time of doing it that you know what you dont like.
Next time, leave those parts out and redesign the only masterpiece that truly matters because it affects every other thing youll ever make and that is you.
P.s. if youre still doubting if you should take today as your chance to bet on yourself then take this post as your sign. Because of all the knowledge that my amazing God has taught me through this life, theres one thing i find the easiest to remember when I feel really low and that is there will never be anyone that can be a better you than you are because God crafted you to be exactly who you are, broken pieces, half learned lessons and all.
