To the business owner that i met yesterday who said "he took one of our services" (love that youve done it brother) to donate a job per month to someone thats a senior citizen, a veteran or someone living with disabilities....
No you didnt, it was freely given because inspiring other business owners to lay down their profits to pick up someone in the community that needs it is the mission and you made my whole week by doing so. When me and Ashton Roberson started we sat down and prayed because we knew we couldnt do this without giving back but we also knew we had 2 children to feed no matter what path we took. After we prayed and God emboldened our hearts we came to the realization that he would protect our babies but this mission was too important to let fear dictate the outcome because God has never failed us and he wouldnt put this on our hearts just to watch us crumble. With that we looked up and said that we might not know where this would take us but we would give it our all and face this new beginning and whatever end was garnered from it with a smile on our faces and love in our hearts and with that we got up and got moving. (We repeated 2 things when it got hard and when the eviction notices started to come, if he is for us then who could stand against us and Si vis pacem, para bellum)
Well just over 3 years later and weve been able to inspire atleast 2 business owners to take up our creed and blessed to have donated nearly $30,000 to members of this beautiful city and God hasnt let anything stop us yet. Weve cried, bled and nearly gone insane to hold the mission above the water and neither of us would have it any other way.
You see, we both come from nothing, and neither of us has any family in this state or back up plans to speak of and through the live of Jesus Christ we knew we would never need one. We are gere to serve those who are like us and have no where else to go and no one else to help because when youre alone you bless us by making Green & Growing LLC the ones you call.
So to end where i began because the tears are making it hard to type, Chad with Ventures you didnt take anything from us, you gave us a blessing by allowing us to inspire you to SERVE. Thats what we were called to do and now you are too, you have a place at any table we sit at and if any says otherwise refer them to us. You are a blessing to those that come into contact with you and youve earned my respect just by being a shining beacon of what can happen when you put People over Profits (Colorado Springs)!
