Seven years ago today, Ariat Arena (formerly Dickies Arena) opened its doors in Fort Worth.
Since then, it’s become a destination for concerts, sporting events, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, and the community moments that bring the city together.
This construction footage from DroneDeploy shows what it took to get there: more than 4 million labor hours, thousands of craftspeople and specialty trades working in sync, and design inspired by the neighboring Will Rogers Memorial Center. The team finished substantial construction one month ahead of the original schedule.
A landmark like this takes extraordinary coordination, expertise, and collaboration. We’re proud to have worked alongside Austin Commercial, HKS, dmsarchitects, and the many trade partners and craftspeople who made it possible.
Happy anniversary, Ariat Arena! Here’s to many more years of incredible events in Fort Worth.
