🎉Welcome, Myles! 🎉

Myles Sloan joined PWWG Architects in 2026 as an intern through Carnegie Mellon University’s UDream Program. Myles graduated from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, he is interested in exploring how architecture can provide a sense of belonging to the individuals who inhabit a space. Through his recent work and experiences, Myles is developing a strong interest in human-centric urbanism.

Myles approaches architecture with an emphasis on community, regenerative design, and materiality. He is particularly interested in residential housing and hopes to continue developing his understanding of how thoughtful design can positively impact communities.

Outside of architecture, Myles enjoys running and fishing. He appreciates the outdoor aspects both provide, as well as the discipline and focus that come with running, and the patience and serenity that come with fishing.

We were honored to celebrate the grand opening of Cincinnati's Fidelity Hotel!

Originally constructed in 1913, the 13-story Gwynne Building was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It was a privilege to help transform this historic building into a stunning French-inspired boutique hotel in the heart of Cincinnati's Central Business District. After years of thoughtful planning, design, and restoration, this iconic Beaux-Arts building has been given new life and is ready to welcome guests for generations to come.

A special thank you to our friends at New Waterloo for hosting such a wonderful celebration, and to our incredible design team whose talent and dedication made this project possible.

We're proud to have played a role in preserving a piece of Cincinnati's history and look forward to continuing to bring thoughtful, design-driven projects to the city.

It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood! ☀️🌊

Our PWWG team spent part of the afternoon enjoying the amazing weather at Riverlife’s Shore Thing! We were excited to have our newest UDream intern, Myles, join us for the afternoon as we stepped away from the office and enjoyed some time together.

A little sunshine, good company, and a great team outing — what more could we ask for?

We had such a wonderful evening at this year’s Night in the Tropics at the National Aviary ! 🦜🌴

While the air quality forced the event entirely indoors, the Aviary team didn’t miss a beat. They put together a fantastic evening filled with delicious food, refreshing drinks, great company, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the incredible birds that make the Aviary so special.

We were also honored to support this year’s event as a Bronze Sponsor. It’s always a pleasure to be part of an evening that celebrates such an amazing organization and the important work they do.

Say hello to Josh! 👋

Josh recently joined PWWG after relocating to Pittsburgh, bringing more than 12 years of experience on public education projects in the North Texas area. He is excited to explore Pittsburgh and the surrounding neighborhoods in search of fun restaurants and breweries.

He travels as much as possible, taking trips ranging from small nearby towns to state parks to international adventures; always trying to experience the architecture and culture of the area. He enjoys hosting and cooking fun dinners for friends and family, pulling ideas from the ever-growing cookbook collection. A particular interest is making scratch pasta dough and hand-forming pasta shapes.
For a much-needed escape, he loves watching movies in the theater on the big screen, or picking a movie from the collection and having a movie night at home with the cats. 🐈

🎉Welcome, Erin! 🎉

Erin is a Summer Intern at PWWG and is pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture degree at Carnegie Mellon University.

Erin joined PWWG to support its mission of advancing historic preservation and architectural craftsmanship in Pittsburgh. Coming from a family of artists, he is fascinated by how every stage of the design process—from massing and structural systems to detailing—can contribute to a rich and meaningful aesthetic experience.

Outside of architecture, Erin enjoys sketching urban scenes, artifacts, and people. He is also an avid runner, cyclist, and devoted listener of This American Life.

Last week, members of the PWWG team presented at AIA Build Pittsburgh on the role of computational design in architectural practice.

Using 120 Cecil as a case study, Jennifer Szczesniak, Louis Suarez, and Miguel Perez explored how parametric workflows helped study façade variation, environmental performance, constructability, and cost efficiency throughout the design process.

The session also highlighted how computational design continues to shape the way we iterate, analyze, and explore design possibilities across projects and scales.
