Home theaters don't have to be dark anymore. This one keeps the lights on. 👀
Home theaters used to be dark because projectors needed the dark to look good. This Teton Springs home went the other way: a bright, multi-purpose room with a 115-inch mini RGB TV, a sectional instead of theater seats, and Sonos sound tied into the whole house.
🔍 What You'll Learn
📺 A 115-inch mini RGB TV is bright enough to keep the lights on, with no bulb to burn out.
🛋️ Theater seats have one purpose. A sectional lets you gather, snuggle up and still watch a movie.
🔊 Sonos runs through the whole house: one system, separate zones.
🔌 In-wall speakers lock you into one size, and the rough-in ring may not fit a new speaker down the road.
🧱 Concrete on all four sides, plus the floor and ceiling, keeps the sound in the room.
💡 Why It Matters
Think about a normal Tuesday. Where will you actually sit down to watch something? A bright room with the right screen, seating and sound gets used, and still gives you a real movie night.
