This kitchen started outdated, but the transformation came down to a series of focused upgrades rather than a full rebuild. New countertops immediately reset the visual tone of the space, while details like toe kick lighting, under cabinet lighting, and crown molding lighting added depth that you don’t really notice until the room is finished.

On top of that, upgraded appliances and soft close drawers make the kitchen feel more functional in everyday use. It’s one of those remodels where the changes aren’t just cosmetic, they actually improve how the space works day to day, especially in a busy household.

A lot of homeowners in Scottsdale ask the same question when they see a kitchen like this, what would something like this actually cost. That’s exactly why we built a simple pricing tool that gives you an instant estimate so you can start planning without guessing. You can try it here:

This is your sign to take a closer look at your home and consider what could be improved, expanded, or reimagined. Most homes evolve over time, and what once worked well may no longer fit how you actually live day to day.

Upgrading a home doesn’t always mean starting over. It can mean better layout flow, added space, improved functionality, or simply bringing older areas up to current standards. Whether it’s a renovation, addition, or custom build, the goal is to make the space work better for your lifestyle.

The right planning process helps turn ideas into something real and achievable without unnecessary stress or uncertainty. When done thoughtfully, a home upgrade becomes less about construction and more about creating long-term comfort and usability.

Every project has at least one detail you look back on and think, we should’ve just done it. On this one, it was lighting underneath the floating bench. At the time it felt optional, but once everything came together, it would’ve added that extra layer that takes the space from clean to memorable.

We still carried the same design approach throughout the shower with LED lit niches, a floating bench, and a hidden linear drain to keep everything as minimal and uninterrupted as possible. Those elements help the space feel more open and intentional without adding clutter.

It’s usually the small lighting decisions that end up making the biggest difference in how a bathroom feels, especially at night. If you're planning a remodel and want to understand what features like this might cost, you can check an estimate here:

One of the biggest transformations on this home was the upstairs addition. We added a den, two bedrooms, and a Jack and Jill bathroom to connect the spaces in a way that actually makes sense for daily use. It’s the kind of layout that gives families more room without making the home feel disconnected.

What really changes the experience though is the view deck. Positioned to capture Camelback Mountain, it adds a completely different layer to the home that wasn’t there before. Spaces like that tend to become the most used areas, especially in the evenings when the weather cools down.

Additions like this aren’t just about square footage, they’re about how the home functions and what you get out of it long term. If you're thinking about adding onto your home and want to get a rough idea of cost, you can check an estimate here:

This shower is built around clean lines and hidden functionality. One of the key details is the linear drain, which is tucked away to keep the floor looking uninterrupted and simple. Combined with the floating bench, it keeps the space feeling open instead of visually busy, which is harder to achieve in a shower than most people think.

At the same time, it’s not purely minimal. The lighting, finishes, and chandelier bring in a more decorative layer that completely changes the mood of the space. It’s a good reminder that bathrooms don’t have to choose between clean design and personality, they can do both when the details are intentional.

A successful residential project takes more than construction alone. The way a project is planned, coordinated, and managed before building even starts has a major impact on how smoothly everything comes together in the end.

At KC KREW, we guide homeowners through every phase of the process, from early planning and design coordination through construction and final completion. Our design-build approach keeps communication, budgeting, and ex*****on aligned under one team so projects stay organized and decisions stay clear.

What separates a well-run project from a stressful one usually comes down to preparation and oversight. We focus heavily on intentional planning, realistic sequencing, quality craftsmanship, and consistent communication so homeowners can move through the process with more confidence and fewer surprises.

This guest bathroom is a good example of how small technology upgrades can completely change how a space feels to use. One of the standout features is the toe kick lighting on a motion sensor, so the room gently lights up as soon as you walk in. It removes that harsh “flip the switch in the dark” moment and replaces it with a soft, immediate glow.

We also carried LED lighting into the shower niche, which helps highlight the space while keeping things functional. It’s subtle, but it adds a layer of mood and visibility that you don’t really notice until you experience it in person. These kinds of details are what give a bathroom that modern, slightly elevated feel without making it overly complicated.

It’s a reminder that bathrooms aren’t just about finishes, they’re about how the space responds to you. If you're planning a remodel or new build and want a rough idea of what features like this might cost, you can check an estimate here:

When you’re adding bedrooms, the bathroom layout between them becomes a big opportunity to improve how the space actually functions. In this case, we designed a Jack and Jill bathroom with separate vanities on each side, which gives each bedroom its own personal zone instead of sharing everything in one cramped space.

The shower is placed in the center, creating a balanced flow between both rooms, while the water closet uses a wall mounted toilet with a hidden tank. That floating design not only saves space visually, it also makes cleaning easier and gives the bathroom a more modern feel without adding unnecessary complexity.

These are the kinds of details that don’t always stand out at first glance, but they make a big difference in daily use. If you're planning a home addition or remodel and want to get a rough idea of what something like this might cost, you can check an estimate here:

Casitas are becoming one of the most requested additions for homes across Scottsdale, Phoenix, Paradise Valley, and the rest of Arizona. People want extra space for guests, a private office, a rental unit, or a place for family to stay. The challenge is that the cost can vary a lot depending on things like adding a full kitchen, a bathroom with exterior access, or large sliding glass doors that open the space to the backyard.

What I’ve noticed is that homeowners often have to go through multiple calls, consultations, and meetings just to get a rough number. That slows everything down and makes the early planning phase frustrating when all someone really wants is a ballpark estimate.

So we built a quick estimator that lets you explore pricing instantly. You can select features and get a rough idea of what your casita project might cost before diving into the full design process. If you're curious what a casita could look like on your property, you can try the estimator here:
