A green lawn usually comes down to four things working together consistently.

1) Aeration

Most people start thinking about their lawn when summer arrives.

The problem isā€¦
by then, youā€™re already behind.

The best summer lawns are usually prepared months in advance (so read this before itā€™s too late)

Aeration helps loosen compacted soil so water, oxygen, and nutrients can actually reach the roots.

Removing thatch clears out the layer of dead buildup that slowly suffocates healthy growth over time.

Fertilization needs to happen strategically depending on the season, the weather, and what specific plants actually need support.

And mowing correctly matters way more than people realizeā€¦
especially once the St. Louis heat starts stressing the lawn.

The same goes for irrigation.

A lot of summer lawn problems are really spring preparation problems.

Spring is when you:
wake the property back up,
