What’s a wobble tree, you ask? 🐻🌳

It’s exactly what it sounds like — a specially engineered tree that moves, bends and sways to encourage natural climbing and movement for animals like bears and orangutans.

But getting the wobble *just right* takes some thoughtful design and engineering.

We love seeing the craftsmanship behind projects like these, where natural materials, technical expertise and a deep understanding of animal needs come together to create better habitats.

🎉 Congratulations to STRYV BANK on the grand opening of its Ridge Road branch!

Yesterday, WDM Principal Luke Scott, AIA, and Architectural Designer Amber Michaud, Assoc. AIA, joined the celebration and ribbon cutting at the newly renovated branch. WDM designed a new main entry and reconfigured the interior to support commercial lending and retail banking services.

This project holds special meaning for Amber, marking her first project experience through construction administration. It’s rewarding to see the design come to life and celebrate this milestone alongside the Stryv Bank team.

Congratulations to Zach Weast, President; Cuy Mauck, Chairman and CEO; Erika Buckner, SVP of Retail; and the entire Stryv Bank team. We wish you continued success in your new space!

Sometimes, the most meaningful improvements are the practical ones. At St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway Springs, a new addition provides a confessional, restroom and maintenance room—creating dedicated spaces that better serve both the parish and its daily needs.

Since 1922, Wichita’s historic Orpheum Theatre has transported audiences into a world of wonder. After an extensive restoration led by WDM Architects, this beloved landmark is ready for its next chapter.
From the restored decorative plasterwork and vibrant historic colors to new seating, improved accessibility, and upgraded performance systems, every decision balanced the preservation of the past with the needs of today’s audiences.
The celebration began with a sold-out performance by EGOT-winning artist John Legend—a fitting opening act for a theater reborn.
We’re proud to have helped bring this Wichita treasure back to life for generations to come.
