Home Magazine Alt/Reno of the Year Winners!!

We’re beyond excited to share that last night, at the Home Magazine Awards, our project Stanmore was named Alteration/Renovation of the Year.

It’s a real privilege to be shortlisted, let alone take out the award in our category. This is a project we’re incredibly proud of, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the whole team involved.

A special mention to John Creighton Builders , and to our amazing clients — thank you for trusting us and being such a great part of the journey.

Congratulations as well to all the other talented winners and finalists from the evening — one to remember.

Jessop Architects is having a moment — and it’s well deserved.

We’re delighted to share that Jessop Architect’s Stanmore home has been named a finalist in the Home of the Year 2026 Awards. A project that balances restraint with confidence, and delivers that rare kind of renovation that feels both considered and completely effortless.

This is architecture that doesn’t shout — it speaks in detail. In proportion. In material selection. In light. In the quiet brilliance of knowing exactly what to leave untouched.

A huge congratulations to Darren and the Jessop team for another exceptional milestone. We’ll be watching this one closely.

From first sketch to final site visit, this coastal retreat in Waipū was shaped by the land itself.

Two sculptural pavilions, a palette grounded in the natural textures of stone, cedar, and concrete, and a layout designed to embrace views from every room.

This one was all about balance: robust yet refined, relaxed yet architectural.
