Little planting job we arranged for my partner Pete @ potsnz who's done a lovely job of the hard landscaping here. Nothing too exciting, the budget was tight for planting on this one but still a nice smart sub-tropical selection that are well suited to the conditions. The site has no irrigation, planting in summmr not idea! So we went with some hardy classics that will tolerate the hot afternoon sun and lack of moisture; Lomandra at the top of the bank to help screen the scruffy ground behind and to help prevent soil erosion from the steepest part of the bank. Russelia equisetiformis on the lower tear because why not?! It's a beautiful plant that's way underused in my mind, cascading rush like foliage and it flowers for months. Philodendron Xanadu on the lowest terrace, there is a reason this plant is getting used anywhere and everywhere at the moment.... it will tolerate the driest of soil, full sun or full shade and it looks good year round. Gardenia Veitchii frames the front doors and two small but mighty Dypsis baronii add vertical interest and some screening from the top of the driveway.
