Anyone can build a pergola.

Not everyone can create art in architecture.

Steel gives us the freedom to break away from the cookie-cutter outdoor spaces that all start looking the same. It allows us to create floating rooflines, dramatic cantilevers, integrated lighting, custom screens, suspended seating, and details that make people stop and ask, "Who designed that?"

Showcased by Denali Pools and Outdoors of Nashville, this custom outdoor living environment was designed to deliver a true resort-at-home experience.

Centered around a luxury pavilion with a fully integrated entertainment and gathering space, the design flows effortlessly into a custom swimming pool featuring an infinity-edge spa, swim-up bar, expansive sun shelf, and multiple destinations for relaxation and entertaining. Beyond the water, a dedicated fire pit viewing area creates the perfect place to gather, unwind, and enjoy the atmosphere long after the sun goes down.

Designing for such an Elite firm like Denali Pools in Nashville is really going to take my career to the next level!

When our client told us they wanted something that nobody else in Nashville had… we took that personally.

This project was never intended to feel like a typical luxury pool. The vision was to create an atmosphere so immersive and architecturally unique that it feels more like a private resort experience than a backyard.

One of the defining elements of this design is the fully perimeter knife-edge pool system, allowing the entire body of water to bleed seamlessly into the surrounding synthetic turf and hardscape. Rather than isolated overflow points, the water was designed to dissolve the visual boundary between architecture, landscape, and reflection, creating an effect that feels almost unreal after dark.

From the elevated spa wrapped in black with underlit floating edges, to the custom pavilion lounge layered with fire features, reflective water, ambient lighting, and architectural screening elements, every detail was intentionally curated to create emotion through design.

This is the direction we are pushing toward at Denali Pools & Outdoors, elite outdoor environments that blur the line between architecture, art, hospitality, and experience. Spaces that are deeply personal, visually unforgettable, and impossible to replicate.

I roll my eyes every time it tries to sprinkle its own “creative twist.” I don’t need its fluff or its flavor...

I’ve got the vision covered. But, I’ll admit
