New paintings from this week!✨
This week has been crazy busy, between starting a new large mural project, vending two events (today and tomorrow) and doing my best to make some new work for yall. Im so sleepy, BUT i absolutely love my new pieces and honestly if i didnt have my little shop id probably keep them all😅
First, a beloved chicken. An "Orpington" chicken to be exact. Ive always loved the classic light brown chickens, and these cuties have such round bodies with tiny faces. Who doesnt love that?🥹🖤
Next, a little trinket box. Ive been saving this vintage wood box to make a curio with it. But it only felt right to make put bog painting in it so the scavenger and forest loot lovers could have a tiny box for their tiny findings🖤
Now, the beloved "white breasted nuthatch"🥹 so far he is the favorite of all of my friends who have seen it. Which makes me incredibly happy🖤 These little cuties visit my backyard feeders everyday. As well as scaling the large tree in my backyard that i get to view from my studio☺️
And last, another cedar waxwing🖤 i realized i have only ever painted one waxwing (my absolute favorite bird) and my wife snagged it before i could even share it with all of you😅 Currently looking at it up in her wall in her studio as we speak🖤 Thisnpiece was an experiment with toning the paper dark before i started the layers. And boy do i love how rich it made my pastel colors. Inwill for sure be doing this for most of my birds from now on✨
Phew so much, id like to share more little info/facts about my work. Its all truly inspired by the beautiful things and critters i see every day. And i absolutely wouldnt have it any other way🖤
All pieces are available for the Westerville art hop tonight, and the tomorrow🖤 if you cant make it out but love a piece, shoot me a dm✨
