We’re excited to announce that Brian Utoft will become VAA’s next CEO on January 1, 2027!

Since joining VAA in 2010, Brian has connected people, clients and ideas with a One VAA mindset. His transition from Partner and Senior Engineer to CEO reflects our commitment to developing leaders from within and creating opportunities to grow.

We’re also celebrating Jeff Schrock’s 13 years of leadership as CEO. From expanding our capabilities and geographic reach to investing in mentorship and our people, Jeff has helped shape the company we are today.

And his VAA story continues! Jeff will lead our strategic business development efforts, bringing his experience and energy to client relationships, team development and business growth.

A new space to grow together!

Last week, we welcomed VAA employees and their families to our new Minnetonka office for a special open house!

From exploring our new space and learning more about what each department does to enjoying great food, family activities and a little Halloween fun, it was a wonderful evening celebrating this next chapter for VAA. Costumes were encouraged, the kids collected stamps in their VAA Explorer Passports, and they even got to have some fun on our Teams video screens!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening memorable. We're excited for all the collaboration, connections and growth ahead!

Congratulations to Bottineau County, North Dakota, on being awarded a $690,825 federal grant through the Federal Railroad Administration’s (FRA) Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) program!

The funding will support critical rail infrastructure improvements, including upgrades to a railroad crossing and enhancements to overall grain-handling capacity.

VAA is proud to have supported the County and Border Ag & Energy, a local agricultural cooperative, throughout the grant application process.

Our office in New Orleans is not only a commitment to our clients and partners in the region, but also to the NOLA community.

Our team volunteered at Second Harvest - Feeding South Louisiana where we packed dry good foods to be distributed to seniors. All in all, we packed 640 boxes or 20,480 total pounds of food.
