At Citizens Bank Park, our latest collaboration with the phillies introduces a new generation of fan amenities, from the reimagined Cadillac Hall of Fame Club and interactive Cooperstown Gallery to an expanded, technology-rich New Era Phillies Team Store and new social gathering spaces.

These upgrades reflect a growing shift in sports venue design, where hospitality, entertainment, and storytelling create new opportunities for fans to connect with their favorite teams.

More than two decades after designing Citizens Bank Park, we’re continuing to build on the traditions that make it one of baseball’s most recognizable venues.

As Minor League Baseball continues to invest in player development, ballparks are evolving to support new standards for training, performance, and athlete wellness.

At the Myrtle Beach Pelicans Ballpark in Myrtle Beach, SC, EwingCole’s design adds a 28,200-square-foot clubhouse with modernized home and visiting-team facilities and a new athletic performance center. With six indoor hitting and pitching lanes, the flexible training space will also host community events year-round.

Combined with improvements to player safety, stadium operations, and the fan experience, the renovations position Pelicans Ballpark for the next generation of baseball.

EwingCole’s Natalium: Reimagining the Architecture of Birth has been named the winner of Healthcare Design’s 2026 Breaking Through Design Competition!

Developed in response to the challenges facing modern maternity care, Natalium challenges traditional hospital design by imagining an entirely new environment for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery.

Organized around nature, movement, community, and personal choice, the concept places dignity and human connection at the center of care while keeping advanced medical support close at hand.

The competition challenged designers to think beyond the constraints of budgets, schedules, and codes. Natalium gave us the chance to ask a fundamental question: What could the experience of birth become if we designed the environment around the people experiencing it?

As part of DesignPhiladelphia 2026, EwingCole is holding an open house to present its vision titled “In Our Second Half-Century” and is inviting visitors to take a look at the firm’s work.

In keeping with the theme of bold transformation, the event will highlight EwingCole’s significant contributions to Independence Mall in the Philadelphia area and across the country. Visitors will have the opportunity to see a vibrant collection of projects from a variety of sectors, with the help of physical models, immersive exhibitions, and cutting-edge technology giving them behind-the-scenes insight into how ideas become real spaces.

Every Major League career starts somewhere.

For players coming through the Chesapeake Baysox, Prince George’s Stadium is one of the places where prospects train, recover, compete, and develop on their path through the Baltimore Orioles organization.

A $50 million renovation is transforming the stadium to support that journey. EwingCole and Gilbane worked with the Maryland Stadium Authority to create a new two-story home clubhouse and player performance area that brings training, rehabilitation, conditioning, recovery, and team operations together under one roof.

The upgrades also include a 14,500-square-foot indoor hitting and pitching arena for year-round development, an expanded visiting clubhouse, new bullpens, field improvements, and upgraded sports lighting.

It’s a ballpark designed not only for where players are today, but where they’re working to go next.

Urgent care takes on a different meaning when you’re undergoing cancer treatment.

At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Memorial Hospital, patients experiencing acute medical issues related to cancer or its treatment need immediate care from clinicians who already understand the complexities of their diagnosis and care plan.

To meet growing demand, EwingCole designed a 10,500-square-foot expansion of the hospital’s Urgent Care Center, adding 25 private treatment rooms and the clinical support spaces needed to expand capacity while maintaining a calm, patient-centered environment.

Warm materials, integrated artwork, thoughtful lighting, and an efficient clinical layout balance the demands of high-acuity care with privacy, comfort, and reassurance during an especially vulnerable moment in a patient’s care journey.
