Same primary bath space, two completely different layouts.

This is what makes design so personal. There is never one “right” answer, only the one that feels right for how you live. The way you move through your mornings, the way you want a space to greet you at the end of the day, the details that quietly make your life easier.

For this primary bath, we explored two distinct layout directions, which is the beauty of a truly custom process. It allows space for exploration, for refinement, for discovering what actually resonates instead of settling for what’s expected.

Which layout would you choose?

I’ve been a little quiet about this one… but we’re officially about to kick off the build phase and I couldn’t be more excited.

This project has been such a special one to design- three beautiful bathrooms, a full kitchen, coffee bar, eat-in nook, den, and all new paint, flooring and lighting throughout. Every detail has been thoughtfully layered to feel timeless, elevated, and ready to be lived in.

I already know this home is going to be absolutely stunning when it all comes together. Stay tuned… the transformation is going to be a good one.

A kitchen transformation that truly changed the way this home lives.

What was once a small, closed-off, dated kitchen is now an open, welcoming space designed for gathering, cooking, and everyday living. By removing a dividing wall, we were able to completely reimagine the layout, creating a long, functional kitchen wall paired with a gorgeous island that now anchors the heart of the home.

One of our favorite moments? The statement range hood finished in Venetian plaster. It adds just the right amount of softness and architectural presence to the space.

And the coffee bar… believe it or not, that entire wall housed nothing but a piece of furniture before. Now it’s a beautiful focal point and a perfect little daily ritual station.

We also added a custom banquette that carries the reeded white oak detailing throughout the kitchen, paired with the softest touch of mint green for a hint of color and charm. The textures, the warmth, the functionality, it all came together in the most beautiful way.

We love how this kitchen turned out and how thoughtfully every detail works together.

Would you believe me if I told you that this space started out as a storage garage…? Huh?! I know! After adding square footage, vaulting the ceiling, adding some gorgeous windows and doors, and a lot of thoughtful planning, it’s now a fully livable ADU for this East Sac family.

In a neighborhood where every square foot truly matters, creating an extra living space like this makes such a difference, whether it’s for guests, extended family, or just having room to spread out. What used to hold boxes now holds a beautiful open living area, a fully functional kitchenette, and a full bath (more on that soon!).

It’s one of those projects that reminds you how powerful thoughtful design can be: turning something purely practical into something that feels intentional, comfortable, and genuinely special.

Bathroom reveal coming next. ✨

Warm, comfortable, layered. All words we would use to describe this beautiful den space in our Oakland project.

Open to the chic, wallpapered dining room, this space serves as a refuge at the end of the day. It’s approachable yet elevated, just how home should be.

Last week, you saw the living room. Today, we’re so excited to share the space that holds it all together.

This dining room sits smack dab in the middle of the living room and family room, so it needed to feel special without competing. Present, but calm. Designed to relate beautifully to the spaces around it while still holding its own.

In historic homes, the architecture leads. Our job is to listen then design in a way that highlights the original details, respects the scale, and allows the home’s character to shine.

The result is a space that feels seamless, connected, and livable.

Before, the home felt disjointed.

Rooms operating in isolation, furniture floating without purpose, light that illuminated but didn’t enhance. It operated, but it didn’t support the rhythm of daily life or the way this family gathers, moves, and connects.

After, everything is intentional.

Furniture placed in a functional format that guides flow and invites conversation. Layered lighting that shifts the mood from day to evening with ease. Custom drapery that softens, grounds, and elevates the architecture. Rugs that anchor each moment and quietly define how the rooms are used.

At the entry, a European-sourced wallpaper sets the tone- subtle, refined, and unmistakably considered, tying the home together before a single word is spoken.

This is where personality lives. Not in trends, but in nuance. In the way a space feels calm yet elevated, tailored yet warm.

We are the bridge between a home that looks assembled and one that feels intentional. Designed to function beautifully and live even better.

Stay tuned for other views of the spaces we worked on in this home.

Goodbye 2025, hellooooo 2026!

As I look back on this past year, I’m filled with so much gratitude. 2025 was a year of growth for my design studio. I’m happy to say this year my studio invested thoughtfully in our systems, focused on an elevated client experience, expanded our team, and stepped into projects that challenged and excited us in all the best ways. We designed in new cities, took on our largest projects to date, and continued to define what it means to create homes that are both beautiful and deeply intentional.

More than anything, I’m thankful for our incredible clients. Your trust, your openness, and the privilege of being welcomed into your homes and lives is never lost on me. This work is creative, layered, and many times demanding but 5.5 years in, I can honestly say I’m having more fun than ever.

Looking toward to the year ahead, my goals for my firm are big, I hope you’ll follow along! We are so excited for what’s to come.

If you’re ready to begin your design journey in the new year and would like to work with Elizabeth C. Style Interiors, send us a DM or reach out through our website. Cheers to what’s next! Let’s go 26!!! 🥂
