Not every hospital project starts with a staircase leading to a window. 👀

We’re excited to kick off a new operating room project at St. Mark's Hospital, where smart coordination and creative problem-solving are already on display. To minimize disruptions to patients, staff, and hospital operations, Steed Construction is sharing access with an adjacent MRI project—and in one of the more unique logistics solutions we've encountered, materials and crews will be accessing the site through a window.

It's a great example of the planning, collaboration, and behind-the-scenes ingenuity that healthcare projects often require. We can't wait to see this project take shape.

Great to see the University of Utah's BSB Plaza full of energy last week during the FM Office Golf event.

Years after completing the renovation, it’s rewarding to see the space being used exactly as intended—bringing people together through gathering, connection, and community. From shaded seating areas to flexible outdoor spaces, the plaza was designed to create a more welcoming and engaging environment for the University.

Always great spending time with our partners and friends at events like this.

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the men and women who have served our country.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support Veterans through projects like the new VA Salt Lake City Emergency Department, a space designed to provide comfort, care, and dignity for those who have served.

It is a privilege to contribute to environments that support Veterans, their families, and the caregivers dedicated to their well-being.

We had such a fun time participating in this year’s CANstruction as part of the America 250 celebration. Our team recreated the historic American battleship, the USS Constitution, built entirely out of canned and packaged food.

After the end of the summer, all cans will be donated to the Utah Food Bank to help support Utah families facing food insecurity.

It was such a pleasure to partner with Reaveley Engineers, Trim Art, Wallboard Specialties and Roppe Corporation on this year’s build and support the incredible work being done by the Utah Food Bank.

A meaningful milestone at the VA Salt Lake City Emergency Department ribbon cutting. A few words from our President, Nathan Murray:

A generation ago, the notion of bringing a new, state-of-the-art ER to better serve our Veterans at Salt Lake’s VA Medical Center was born. This week the enduring vision, commitment and fortitude of leaders, care teams and a broader community of patriots finally saw its realization and open its doors. We are so honored to be the design team working alongside friends in our own community who have dedicated their lives to protecting and improving our health and safety!

It’s finally done!

The new Emergency Department at the George E. Wahlen Veterans Affairs Medical Center is opening, marking a major milestone in expanding care for the Veterans it serves.

We are proud to have partnered on this project and can’t wait to attend the ribbon cutting on May 13th!

We are about a week away from the grand opening ceremony for our new Emergency Department! Join us for a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 13, 2026! The new emergency department will first see Veteran patients the next day, May 14th.

Our latest MRI Replacement at Holy Cross Hospital–West Valley transforms this suite into a modern imaging environment—supporting better technology, improved workflows, and a more comfortable experience for patients and staff.

With new RF shielding, a non-ferrous ceiling system, updated finishes, and a new Zone 3 with patient lift, every detail was designed with care in mind.

Great time in St. George at the Utah Hospital Association Annual Membership Meeting. We enjoyed connecting with healthcare leaders, sharing ideas, and spending time with peers across the industry.

Kicking things off with an e-bike ride through Snow Canyon made for a memorable start before a day of meaningful conversations and new connections at the conference. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table—we appreciate being part of such a strong healthcare community.
