Members of the Phinney Design Group team had the pleasure of attending The Queensbury Hotel Centennial Celebration in downtown Glens Falls.

It was a wonderful evening honoring 100 years of history, hospitality, and community impact. We were especially grateful for the opportunity to celebrate this milestone with owner Ed Moore, whose dedication to preserving and enhancing this iconic landmark has helped ensure its legacy for future generations.

Our team also had the chance to tour the beautifully restored historic lobby and experience firsthand the thoughtful renovation work that blends the hotel’s rich heritage with modern elegance. Congratulations to The Queensbury Hotel on reaching this remarkable centennial milestone. Here’s to the next 100 years!

At Phinney Design Group, we believe great design should strengthen the communities we serve. We’re proud to be working on an addition and renovation project for the Caldwell Library in Lake George Village. This project will provide an accessible means of egress, improved restroom facilities, and will create a new flexible space for community programs and gatherings. We’re honored to help support the library’s continued role in the community through thoughtful and accessible design. We’re also grateful for the collaboration and dedication of our consultant partners, LaBella Associates, Environmental Design Partnership, and SB Engineering.

We look forward to sharing updates as the project continues to move forward.

Some homes deserve more than a renovation, they deserve a thoughtful transformation. Our Lake House project on Diamond Point in Lake George, NY, is a perfect example. Working closely with the homeowners, Phinney Design Group reimagined an aging lakeside property into a modern family retreat while carefully preserving the character and Adirondack heritage that made the home special in the first place. Beneath years of wear, the house held a story worth saving. Through extensive renovation and interior design, the result is a warm, contemporary retreat that honors its history while creating new spaces for gathering, connection, and lake living for generations to come.

Exciting progress at the Spa Little Theater in Saratoga Springs! Phinney Design Group is proud to be part of the historic renovation of this beloved community landmark, helping transform it into a renewed space for performance, gathering, and the arts. Our team was on-site recently carefully sizing up doors to ensure they align with the building’s historic character while supporting its future use. It’s all about honoring the past while thoughtfully adapting the space for the next generation of performances and community experiences. We’re looking forward to seeing this special place come back to life.
