We are proud of the hard work and effort of the Team to realize our design in the rejuvenation of the Tai Po Civic Centre. The project planning commenced in 2013, and it was a long journey working hand in hand with our clients, partners and the Contractor to make it happen finally and serve the public. In a spirit of collaboration, part of the open space along Kai Tak river is almost ready to open and serve the community. We are proud of the team effort to realize our vision and design. We also envisaged the project may showcase a new urban public space along the river. It shall also be a one of a kind “Green corridor” for both human and natural life in the center of a concrete jungle.

We are delighted to see the completion and opening of Tai Po Civic Center in 2026. Completed as a renew cultural hub serving the public community and professional performance industry specialties, we are proud of the collaborative team effort throughout the years to revitalize the original old school fabric and improve the urban fabric as a whole. The project showcases how aged public property can be added with new value, while maintaining the original merit and collective memory of the community. As the Project Architect, we appreciate team effort and mutual trust throughout the long process from design to realization of the project, and we look forward to seeing exciting events and professional performance at Tai Po Civic Center in the future.

In collaboration with Heep Yunn School, we welcomed students again this year to let them see behind the scenes the making of architecture and experience the work life of our profession. As an annual activity for more than 10 years, Design 2 is happy to provide this 4-day program to students, and also to our staff members as connection with the community. We look forward to seeing more passionate young people to join us in the future.

We are proud to see that Hoi Fai Road Open Space is featured in the second year of the “Open House Hong Kong”. Designed as an Olympic themed open space serving the neighborhood and the City, the project employs inclusive design and active play spaces for enjoyment of all ages.
